The restaurant industry is home to more than 15 million trained and skilled employees in restaurants across the country serving the public every day. Salt Life Food Shack is home to XXX amazing and loved employees. We are deeply saddened by the recent events that forced us to close down abruptly. We know this has left our Salt Life Food Shack family in a painful place but we want each of you to know that that we are committed to reopen when possible and welcoming you back ASAP. In the meantime, we have gathered a variety of resources here that may be helpful to you or others you know. We will continue to update this page with additional resources as we become aware of new available tools.
Please remember that this is an unprecedented event, with unprecedented measures taken. The health, safety, and wellbeing of our staff, customers and community is our number one priority. We want you each to stay safe, smart and Salty at heart.

What is 2019-nCoV Coronavirus?
2019-nCoV (Coronavirus) is virus that causes the COVID-19 respiratory illness. It was first detected in Wuhan, China. According to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), it’s unclear how easily or sustainably this virus is spreading between people. Typically, respiratory viruses are most contagious when an individual is most symptomatic, but there have been reports of the virus spreading when the affected individual does not show any symptoms, as well as possibly on surfaces.
On March 20, Governor DeSantis of Florida ordered all dine in restaurants in Florida temporarily close to help reduce the immediate spread of the virus.

The IRS suggests that if you are expecting a tax return from 2019 to electronically file your taxes ASAP to expedite your return. And note that if you expect to pay any taxes, the NEW TAX DEADLINE to file or file a personal extension is July 15, 2020. Remember, there are FREE digital options to file your 1040 and you’re likely to get a refund faster if you file your return electronically and opt for direct deposit.
